We are very excited that you are interested in competitive cheer & dance! We believe these are two of the best sports you can get involved in. There are so many positive benefits from developing sport specific skills such as tumbling and stunting to learning life skills such as team work, accountability, working hard, and trust. 3 Things You Need to Know:

You will need to sign up through your amilia account. If you don't have one, you can create one when you go to sign up for your clinic! Sign up before April 30! Or if you are not able to make it in, you can do video evaluations or schedule a private evaluation!

There are three different clinics.

L1,L2,L3 - Cheer Clinics (5-18yr)​

Evaluations will be held April 30.
Please know it can be tough for our staff to answer phone calls during hours when the gym is not open, but we will do our best to get back to you if you choose to give us a call. Make sure you leave a voicemail if we do miss you.
2019-2020 Clinics/Evaluations Information

Clinics: All Star Cheer & DanceTo prepare for the 2019-2020 evaluation and put your athlete on the best team for him or her, clinics will be held during the two weeks leading up to tryouts. Attendance is highly recommended at the clinics; clinics give the coaches more time to spend with the athletes and make the best evaulations to put them on a team that is best for him or her. Also, clinics will give the athlete plenty of time to learn the short, easy routine that they will show off in small groups at evaluations to keep things low stress for the athlete. The routine will include certain skills that is expected from each level of cheer / dance such as stunts and tumble passes. Enroll by April 1 for either clinics to get a FREE t-shirt! ​ 6-18 year old (L1,L2,L3) - Cheer Clinic:April 23 (Tuesday), April 25 (Thursday), Enrollment Deadline: April 30 (Tuesday) Must come to 2 of 4 days. Everyone will be divided among age and skill levels. 3-5 year old (NOVICE) Cheer Clinic: May 2 (Thursday), 5:00-6:00 p.m. Enrollment Deadline: April 22 (Tuesday) PREP & ELITE Dance Clinic:April 25 (Thursday) Enrollment Deadline: April 30 (Tuesday) Must come to both days. Enrollment for clinics is done through our system (amilia). If you don't already have an account with Midsouth Extreme, NO worries. When you go to sign up for the appropriate clinic, it'll create one for you. Evaluations: All Star Cheer & DanceWe are so excited you are interested in competitive cheer and dance! We will be holding a tryout session on May 4 for all of cheer and dance. Don't worry this is a low stress environment. Athletes will be given opportunities to demonstrate their skills and show off a routine in small groups. If you are 3-4 years old, you will be on a Tiny Novice team. If you plan to tryout and are able, you must attend the appropriate clinic, so your athlete has enough time to learn the routine and show off their ability to learn. Clinics give your athlete the best chance to show progression and ability to learn new skills which helps put them in a better position for higher level teams. At tryouts, the coaches will spend a small amount of time actually teaching the routine. Please see below for more information on the clinics. The enrollment deadline to sign up for your Clinic & Evaluations is April 29. How old does my athlete have to be in order to cheer?Minimum age for cheer is 3 years old per USASF age grid by August 31, 2019.

How do I get started?Getting started is easy! Click on the appropriate button above for which clinic you want to attend and sign up for it through amilia. If you don't have an account with us, the system will automatically create an account for you when you go to sign up for your clinic. How much is cheer and dance?Depending upon the program/team you participate in, cost will vary. The yearly investment costs is available in the summary packet posted above! The evaluation fees will be made toward the first payment. ALSO, don't forget we have a great fundraising program, where some folks have paid for the entire season through just fundraisers alone! Check out our fundraising page under "Our Progams" to learn more.

If I've never tumbled before, can I still do cheer or dance?"Absolutely! We do our best to accomodate everyone at any age or skill level. We can teach you how to tumble. All our tumble classes are offered throughout the year and are available to all athletes involved in our cheer/dance program at NO additional charge.
